While the state government in collaboration with the federal govt of the country has asked people to stay in their respective home, in other that they can trace, contain and eradicate the spread of COVID-19, some persons have used this opportunity to be of chaos to well faithful and loving citizens of the nation.
One of such gang know as ONE MILLION boys have been writing letters to certain communities in the state to expect their coming, putting fears in the life of the residents of that community of which some where forced to safe gaurd their homes.
On Saturday, the dreaded criminal gang suffered serious set back after they mobilized to rob residents of Olugbade in Egbeda area of Lagos. They were smashed by police operatives led by female DPO.
According to the residents, the bandits informed them through a letter they reportedly pasted on the walls that they were coming that day. The Police were duly informed and they mobilized to the area. Unknown to the bandits that the Police and the residents were ready for them, about 20 members of the gang invaded Olugbade Community in Egbeda area of Lagos at about 2pm and started robbing people of their valuables claiming to be ‘One Million Boys’.
However, they suffered terribly after the DPO, Dimaka, received information and immediately led her officers to the scene. The operatives dislodged the gang and arrested some suspects while others escaped and now at large.
The success of the operation which led to the arrest of 8 members of the gang, identity yet to be known brought joy to the resident as they jubilated.
