I don’t know how truthful this news is but Nigeria is not
ready for an earthquake and i don’t pray it comes.
There were reports of a possible earth quake which occurred on
September 11th in Kwoi, Jaba LGA of Kaduna State. This news have
being causing panic among the inhabitants of this state. The State
Government in a statement signed by
Samuel Aruwan, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity,
said it had made a formal report to the appropriate authorities to investigate
the development, report precisely on the event and issue appropriate guidance as
it asked it’s citizens to remain calm.
Samuel Aruwan however confirmed the notification of
geological and emergency agencies on the incident. They have been invited to
investigate the quake in the Kwoi area of the state and provide appropriate
guidance.
The governor sympathizes with the people of Kwoi area of the
state over the reported news of a possible earth quake and has directed the
State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to mobilize to the area and comfort
the citizens.

reported in 1939, 1964, 1984, 1990, 1994, 1997, 2000 and 2006. Of these events,
only the 1984, 1990, 1994 and 2000 events were instrumentally recorded. They
had body wave magnitudes ranging from 4.3 to 4.5, local magnitudes between 3.7
and 4.2 and surface were wave magnitudes of 3.7 to 3.9.
