Brazil as a nation is the first South America country to
host the Olympics games and as a matter of facts, Brazil has won almost
everything winnable that you can think of outside the Olympics games but have
never been able to win Gold in football games at the Olympics games (Gold Medal).
Brazil first registered itself at the Olympic Games in the
year 1920 and has since them remain present every year competing in this game till
this very moment. The total number of medals ever won by Brazil is 125 medals.

After tonight’s game, I think it is high time we start
taking countries with less performance at the group stage more serious as they
qualify and proceed to the knock out stage of the game. This is as a result of
what happen earlier in Euro 2016 where Portugal had to defeat France 1-0 at the final before lifting the cup as champions.
Let us not forget the fact that, Portugal qualified to the
next round of that game/competition as best looser from their group and went on with the struggle
to lift the cup at the final.
Below are the games played by Portugal from the start of the competition to the end.
Portugal v Iceland 1-1
Portugal v Austria 0-0
Hungary v Portugal 3-3
Croatia v Portugal 0-1
Poland v Portugal 1(3)-1(5)
Portugal v Whales 2-0 and finally
Portugal v France 1-0
This made them clinch the title and It was recorded in the book of history for them.

Tonight, Brazil has repeated the same thing that Portugal
did. With tears of joy, the Brazilian team celebrates their win over the German
team, having played 1-1 (full time) with the German; they went on to play extra
time and then to played penalty and the final results was 5-4 (which was in favour of Brazil).
2016 Olympics game was here and it’s about to leave and has
created a lot of histories. In terms of Athletics, Boxing, Cycling, Diving,
Swimming, Jumping, Running and lots more that I can remember but won't be able to mention as our very focus/concern here is the football aspect of the game.
Having seen the female German team win the female football match, I thought
history was going to be made, I thought the German male team was going to win and lift the cup the same way the female German team did but it was not so.
Congrats to German female football team.
Congrats to Brazilian male football team.
Congrats to Nigerian male team despite the fact that "they fall my hand as they had no answer to the German team who outplayed them in that match".
Congrats to all others who in one way or the other have won a medal at Rio 2016 Olympics Games.
